Richards Chassis provides a wide range of galvanised chassis for Land Rover vehicles. Galvanising is the process of fusing 2 metals together, the chassis is cleaned in ACID and then submerged in a flux. The chassis is then dipped in molten zinc at 450 C. Zinc inpregnates the steel and provides the protection. The layer of zinc on the surface then becomes a sacrificial anode and degrades in preference to the steel.

Your chassis number will usually give you all the information you require, although this will not tell you what modifications have been carried out during your vehicles long life.

Where possible keep the vehicle in large chunks. People do tend to enthusiastically strip the vehicle into component parts, but it will take 10 times as long to re-assemble. Also, when shopping for galvanised chassis replacements, choose an experienced chassis manufacturer, such as Richards Chassis!
